Official Launch of the « PAMOJA KWA AMANI » (Together for Peace) Initiative by the SOLIDARITY FOR SUPPORT AND THE FIGHT AGAINST POVERTY (SELP ASBL) Organization
The SOLIDARITY FOR SUPPORT AND THE FIGHT AGAINST POVERTY (SELP ASBL) organization officially launched its « PAMOJA KWA AMANI » (Together for Peace) initiative on Tuesday, June 23, 2026.
This initiative is part of the project « Promoting Youth Political Participation in North and South Kivu through the Appropriation of the Youth, Peace and Security (JPS) Agenda, » funded by the United Nations Peacebuilding Fund (UNPBF). This project is led by the consortium Search for Common Ground, National Partnership of Children and Youth in Peacebuilding (NPCYP), and Youth for Peace. DRC and YALI.
The PAMOJA KWA AMANI (Together for Peace) initiative of the SELP ASBL organization aims to strengthen the participation of 95 young people in the Ndosho neighborhood of Goma and the Bugamba 2 village in the Nyiragongo territory in the local peacebuilding process through community dialogue, youth economic empowerment for peace, and ownership of the Youth Peace and Security Agenda (JPS).
SELP ASBL believes that youth are the solution, not a problem, to peacebuilding.
